The 2026 1st Asian U23 Athletics Championships was held in Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from July 9 to July 12. Over 350 athletes from 27 countries and regions gathered to compete in the event.

The 2026 National Athletics Middle & Long Distance Events Series (Stop 3) was held at Huludao Sports Center Stadium, Liaoning Province from July 11 to July 12. Nearly 170 athletes from 19 delegations nationwide took part in the competition.

The Athletics Events of Mass Division, the 16th Gansu Provincial Games were held at Dingxi Stadium from July 7 to July 9. More than 700 athletics athletes from all over the province gathered at the venue to compete.

The stadium track and field competition was split into two phases. The first phase featuring county and city youth talent groups concluded on June 27. The second phase covering U20, U18 and U16 divisions ran from June 29 to July 5. More than 1,100 athletes from 17 delegations across the province took part in the competition.

The 2026 National Junior (U18) Athletics Championships was held at Huangshi Olympic Sports Center in Hubei from July 2 to July 5. More than 1,320 athletes from 49 delegations nationwide participated in the competition.

The Athletics Competition of the 13th Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region University Games was held at the athletics field of Inner Mongolia Normal University from June 28 to July 4. Over 1,400 athletes from 50 delegations across the autonomous region took part in the event.
